Cellulite surgery aims to remove cellulite. It is usually a last resort to solving this problem. It is also the most expensive of available cellulite solutions. There are different types of techniques for treating cellulite. Some of them are topical cellulite creams, herbal creams for external application, body wraps, exercises that reduce fat, dieting etc. When these treatments fail to satisfy cellulite patients, they resort to cellulite surgery.
Types Of Surgery For Removing Cellulite
There are different kinds of cellulite surgery; but for the purpose of this article lets discuss the most common of them as follows:
- Liposuction is a process through which fat is removed from under your skin; it is the most common form of cellulite reduction surgery available. In this process, the underlying layers of fats are not removed, as if the lower layers of fat are removed then profuse bleeding or scarring can happen. Mostly, it is good to remove cellulite from thighs, buttocks, and hips. Most of our movie idols undergo liposuction at some point of time to reduce signs of ageing and stubborn fat.
- Lower body Lift: This is a complicated form of cellulite surgery. It is performed in cases of extreme cellulite deposits on thighs, fat pads on hips and loose skin. In this case, the whole lower body skin is lifted upwards like a facelift in that region.
- Mesotherapy: It is a form of micro surgery; some argue that it can be referred to as a non-surgical process. In this process, no incision is made on the body; instead some cellulite reducing chemicals are injected in the effected area. Depending on individual's requirements, the composition of chemicals is decided.
- Laser lipolisis: This method involves making small incisions in the cellulite dense areas. Then a fiber optic laser is used on the fat to reduce it.
Risks
As in case of any surgery, risks are involved in cellulite surgery too. It should be done by qualified and experienced surgeon. Accidents during surgery may cause permanent scarring or puncture other body parts. Most common side effects are swelling and bruising of the area, in some people it may be minimal. But in some sensitive people, the swelling and bruising might become extensive and cause much trouble. This surgery is advisable only in extreme cases, when the cellulite deposits is restricting a person's lifestyle and threatening his or her health. If you have heavy deposits of cellulite on your thighs or hips, which makes movement very difficult for you and which may cause back and leg pain, then a surgery appears to be a lucrative option.
As a rule, surgery is to be best avoided. For younger people, who react well to other cellulite solutions like applying creams etc, surgery should not be considered. For very old people too, it is not recommendable as they need more recovery time and are more prone to infections. The best way to tackle the cellulite problem is to have a healthy lifestyle, which includes regular exercise, balanced diet, and using all natural cellulite solutions that are available. It is always good to take advice of an expert before applying just any cream or potion, which claims to reduce cellulite. Looking at the risks, the cost involved and time taken to recover from surgery, the cellulite surgery is considered only as a last resort to treat this problem.
